Concerned Citizens Gathering at Pura Besakih Against Potentially Harmful Bio-Technological Experiments
November 15, 2023
In a poignant gathering at Pura Besakih, the spiritual heart of Bali, a diverse group of concerned individuals came together to seek support and guidance in response to what they perceive as silent and potentially harmful bio-technological experiments conducted by Indonesian Ministry of Health (MoH).
The group, consisting of more than 300 international and local members, includes senior researchers, leaders from Puskor Hindunesia, local politicians, entrepreneurs, and expatriates. They voiced their concerns about the release of 200 million manipulated mosquito eggs, resulting in a staggering 15 billion mosquitoes. According to the marketing campaigns of the primary sponsors of the program-World Mosquito Program, Save the Children foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Tahija Foundation, and Monash University of Australia-the release of these genetically modified mosquitos will reduce dengue fever. Upon deeper research, it is revealed that they are not telling us the truth!
Example Fact Check
Contrary to the program's claims, Dengue cases in Sri Lanka, where a similar release occurred between 2018 and 2021, have increased by a staggering 300%. As of 2023, Sri Lanka is grappling with an outbreak, with over 61,000 reported cases.
Furthermore, the group emphasized that releasing such a significant number of gene-manipulated mosquitoes is highly disproportional, with no contingency plan in place for addressing potential environmental catastrophes.
"Bali is the island of the Gods!
Not the island for people, playing God!"
Bali MUST NOT Become an Experimental Lab for Profit-Oriented, FOREIGN Companies
"Bali is the island of the Gods! Not the island for people, playing God!" exclaimed one of the group leaders, encapsulating the collective sentiment against what is perceived as interference in the natural order of life on the island.
Senior researchers within the group emphasize that there are no long-term studies or proper assessments regarding the potential irreversible consequences, which could have devastating impacts on all forms of life and the local economy. Furthermore, according to the representation of the Health Ministry in Bali, it is noted that there are no experts in Bali overseeing the program; instead, volunteers with little experience are managing it, raising concerns about the sustainability of such programs.
Hindu Besakih Priests Join the Movement
Bali always has been a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual enlightenment and connection. Pura Besakih, with its spiritual significance, served as the perfect backdrop for the concerned citizens to voice their apprehensions and seek guidance.
"Let Bali live naturally. We have the local wisdom, and these kinds of experiments are instinctively and religiously inappropriate.”
Significantly, the priests of Pura Besakih, led by Head Priest Jro Mangku Gusti Jana, officially rejected the implementation of the Wolbachia program. He articulated their stance, saying, "Let Bali live naturally. We have the local wisdom, and these kinds of experiments are instinctively and religiously inappropriate."
Mosquito Release Postponed but not Stopped!
The group, in collaboration with local efforts, has successfully postponed the Wolbachia program through the local government. However, their ultimate goal is to completely halt this program and prevent similar experiments in the future.
It has become apparent that the local government lacks the mandatory expertise to approve and implement these bio-tech experiments and relies on vague recommendations from outside of Bali, providing another compelling reason for the group's concerns and the refusal of the program.
After the positive outcome and overwhelming positive feedback from the people in Bali, expressing the need to halt the program, the group is steadfastly committed to supporting the local government in enhancing transparency, facilitating knowledge transfer, and improving decision-making processes for future projects.
As they seek spiritual support at Pura Besakih, their goal is to draw attention to their cause and foster a constructive dialogue with the government to address their concerns.
This gathering stands as a testament to the island's rich cultural and spiritual heritage, embodying the essence of “Tri Hita Karana,” the Balinese philosophy emphasizing harmony with God, nature, and fellow humans.
It brings together people from diverse backgrounds united in their endeavour to protect the natural beauty and balance of Bali, the cherished “Island of the Gods.”
Through their commitment to “Tri Hita Karana,” the group seeks not only to address immediate concerns but also to foster a sustainable and harmonious relationship between the community, the environment, and the divine, ensuring the enduring well-being of Bali and its people.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om 🙏🏻
